Our Mission

We have formed this Association for the purpose of honoring and charitably serving the Veterans who have been wounded in combat and their families; by collecting and delivering donations, as well as providing entertainment and activities.

Who We Serve

Once a wounded soldier is stabilized, they are sent back to the states to begin their recovery. This can be a long, grueling and often boring recovery period for the soldier. The Friends of the Wounded Veterans visits these soldiers and hosts events for the wounded veterans and visiting family members to help break up the routine and improve morale.

Service for Veterans image

The U.S. Army established Warrior Transition Units (WTUs) at major military treatment facilities located around the world. WTUs provide personal support to wounded Soldiers who require at least six months of rehabilitative care and complex medical management.
